Does God exist?

In last year, we all went to the annual picnic initiated by the U-Turn Club. We all were delighted in the excellent open air space.

Sited in a small group on the stoned stairs of the bank of the pond, gossiping, singing, laughing and sharing each other. Suddenly we all were just stuck on Ratul’s question for a moment, started staring at one another. Kabbo could not control his anger, reacted with strong voice and asked, “What are you talking about?”

Why? It’s an easy question, “Does God exist?”

Kabbo’s anger became even more rugged. What should he do or not to do, nothing could come in his brain and said, “You are a disobedient, a disbeliever, a tyrant, you have become an atheist”.

It seemed to me, in the sense that Kabbo had taken the meaning, Ratul did not say in that sense.  There was something else in his voice. I asked Kabbo to be patient, I asked Ratul with interest, tell me what happened, what do you mean?

Ratul: I was actually saying; there are so many Mosques, Temples, Churches and Pagodas in the world. There is always the chance to get to the Creator, but why does God not come into our broken house, in our slums, broken hut, why does God not come in our poor family, sick family? Then is there no God?

I became curious and asked, “Ratul, what would have been like if this was the case”.

Ratul: Wow, how much fun it would be, we could have asked our needs to God directly!

I asked again. So, in what you are lamenting for? What is the need?

Ratul replied how people are getting everything easily all around doing injustice, greed, arrogance, pride. Those who have muscular strength are easily reaching the top of success, and I am only in the helplessness. Is it called life?

I began to feel bad, I asked Ratul, behold the question you have made, Kabbo meant it differently. Sometime it happened, we make mistake to approach and to understand properly. But one thing we know that God appeared to Prophet Musa (A) more than once, gave 10 commandments for the betterment of the mankind.

More than once, he gave his innate work to his holy presence in the human race. Even then, some will deny the existence of God, it is written in the holy book Kitabul Mukaddas, Zabur 14:1 “The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.”.

It is also said in Holy Books that people will reject the clear knowledge of God and accept the lie instead.

It is also written in the holy Injil, “They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised”. So, from the point of view, people really forget to worship God and are busy for the things they have created, enjoying luxury, being proud of power, losing humanity. Slowly people are becoming violent, barbarous. For this reason, some are sticking to their perishable treasures, and some people are stunned from their position after seeing the wealth of others, slandering God in their tribulations.

Yet our Creator is merciful, He loves to forgive, as a result He has opened the way for the whole human race, the path of eternal life, the way of eternal life. And He said, whoever comes to me, he never dies but gets eternal life, ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

Resting my hands on Ratul’s shoulder and I told him, If you call God without any doubt in mind, He will surely come to your broken house. If you accept him then he will raise you, he will let you feel his infinite presence.

Frequently Ratul’s mind got better and it seemed like an accumulated clouds of his mind just moved away. Now he looks better.
