Voxpop: Students’ comments on ‘paying homage to the mother tongue’.

21st February is our Mother Language Day. As Bengali, we also observe this day with proper dignity to pay homage to our Mother tongue “Bengali”. Our acquired mother tongue is the result of the historical event occurred on this day in 1952 in a great sacrifice of blood and life of Bengali people. But we have much responsibility to protect the dignity of mother tongue. It is not adequate just to observe different program and pay tribute to the language martyrs. We have to use and apply our mother tongue properly in different aspect of daily life. We have to maintain its accurary. The use of foreign language is necessary, but not by neglecting our mother tongue. As Bengali, we must be aware of it, thus we can show the real honor to it. Let’s listen to the comments of some students from the Book Fair Of 21st (Ekushey Book Fair) organized by Bangla Acadmy.
